Dumb and Dumber To Blu-ray coming with deleted scenes and alternate opening

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Many consider DUMB AND DUMBER TO to be a massive disappointment. After waiting two decades for a sequel, fans were treated to almost the same jokes as the first film. But, were you really expecting much more than that? Even if you went into DUMB AND DUMBER TO with low expectations, this isn't STAR WARS or THE LORD OF THE RINGS.

Regardless, DUMB AND DUMBER TO is one of those movies guaranteed to have a stronger showing on Blu-ray than in theaters and, luckily, fans will get to see it pretty soon. Universal has announced that DUMB AND DUMBER TO will hit Digital HD on February 3, 2015 followed by a Blu-ray and DVD release on February 17, 2015. The discs will come with a bunch of special features including deleted scenes and an alternate opening. The Blu-ray will also come with a gag reel as well as a behind the scenes look at the making of the film.

To be completely honest, as soon as I started to see the trailers for DUMB AND DUMBER TO, I knew I was going to wait for home video.  I think seeing the slapstick humor while having the ability to rewind and enjoy the antics of Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey will be a whole lot more enjoyable than it would have been in the theater.  Maybe the movie can pull a stupid stunt and totally redeem itself.
