Warning: the following story contains a spoiler for DUMBER AND DUMBER TO. If you wish to keep the movie a surprise, then stop reading now.

Break out the champagne because DUMB AND DUMBER TO just got a little classier, not like those French assholes in Aspen. This new cast-member filmed what will amount to a cameo in the movie which is being kept secret, that is until The Hollywood Reporter spilled the beans.

The cameo will feature Jennifer Lawrence playing the part of Kathleen Turner‘s character in a flashback. I would take this to mean that Turner is playing the mother of Harry Dunn’s (Jeff Daniels) daughter, which is the central plot for the sequel. This also makes me wonder if we will be seeing a younger Harry and Lloyd as well. As you all know, DUMB AND DUMBERER: WHEN HARRY MET LLOYD was an awful movie, so I don’t know why Peter and Bobby Farrelly would want to go back to the younger days for this movie.

Lawrence is filming THE HUNGER GAMES sequels in Atlanta and the cast of MOCKINGJAY have all stopped by the set of DUMB AND DUMBER TO to say hello to the cast. I wonder if that triggered an impromptu cameo from Lawrence. From her personality in interviews you can tell that Lawrence has a good sense of humor as well as a self-proclaimed love of DUMB AND DUMBER, STEP BROTHERS, and ANCHORMAN. I am looking forward to seeing how crazy she gets with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels.

DUMB AND DUMBER TO will hit theaters sometime in 2014, the 20th anniversary of the original movie. I like this news. I like it a lot.
