Duty of Living trailer

I’m proud to point out that zombies are currently fighting tooth and nail with emo-vampires for horror supremacy. For every TWILIGHT or “True Blood” entry, we’ve got a ZOMBIELAND or DEAD SNOW to counteract.

Well, continuing the trend is Brandon Hunt’s flick THE DUTY OF LIVING, which focuses on the return home of soldier after defending the nation from a hellacious zombie apocalypse.

Social commentary in a zombie flick? Never!

Said to be an ambitious and tragic story, the flick could actually be, if not totally original, quite interesting to see the aftermath of a zombie-apocalypse and the turmoil a soldier endures in order to re-acclimate to society’s standards.

The flick was shot last month in the Bay Area, California – using the Red One camera. It stars Juan Riedinger (JENNIFER’S BODY, BLACK CHRISTMAS), was produced by John Meredith and George Retelas (ME SO LONELY), and was shot by Brandon Fraley (REVOLVER).

THE DUTY OF LIVING looks to hit the festival circuit in 2010. Nab a peek at the trailer underneath!
