DVD Release Dates

JoBloJoBlo

Tons of cool shit in
this week’s DVD
COVERS & RELEASE DATE
 update including a
Stanley Kubrick fan’s dream come true on October 23rd with the
release of 2-Disc Editions of THE SHINING (finally, I can
get rid of my shitty Full-Screen copy!), A CLOCKWORK ORANGE (woo-hoo!),
2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY (still haven’t entirely converted to this
film yet), FULL METAL JACKET (M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E) and EYES WIDE
SHUT (clean Kidman nude shot!). They’re also sold together in a
new Kubrick Collection. Can’t wait!!

A handful of summer
movies have also started making their moves to DVD including two
of its biggest hits, SPIDER-MAN 3 and KNOCKED UP. Some cool covers
this week include the creepy face on the cover of the SAW TRILOGY,
a supreme job by the folks at WB home video for THE REAPING cover
(I haven’t seen the movie and I hear it’s dogshit, but that’s a
cool cover — at least it ain’t generic!!), the one for the SARAH
SILVERMAN PROGRAM (mostly cause we love her on JoBlo.com! — and
also because we sorta kinda wanna nail her) and the one
fronting UP IN SMOKE (mostly cause I’m high right now).

Oh and don’t forget
the cool-ass GRINDHOUSE covers, the wicked red splash that is the
28 WEEKS LATER cover and the new Special Edition cover for
DRACULA, drakul. Alright, enough babbling.
