Dwayne Johnson plays grab ass on the set of Hercules: The Thracian Wars

Hey, it’s Friday, we’re all calming down, settling into the weekend, but Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has one small thing to share, which is yet another “TweetPeek/Instapeek” of his currently filming HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WARS. It’s really not much more than a teaser shot of Johnson looking better than most, while wearing a buttflap and boots, and playing a little grab ass with his co-workers. If nothing else, it’s just Johnson showing that he can have a bit of fun in-between takes. Watch for “the beast.”

As I’ve said before, this pic hinges almost entirely on Johnson selling the ol’ Greek God to contemporary audiences, as well as beating out the competing pic, HERCULES 3D, from director Renny Harlin. I think Johnson has it in him to pull through, even if it is Brett Ratner at the helm. In truth, Ratner gets picked on a bit unfairly, especially when you consider his good flicks, like RED DRAGON and THE FAMILY MAN. Here’s to hoping this one fits within that group.

HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WARS slams into theaters on July 25, 2014.
