As announced in April, AMERICAN PSYCHO author Bret Easton Ellis will be writing and making his directorial debut with the thriller series The Deleted. That project just made a huge leap forward, with eight actors having signed on to star in the show.

The Deleted tells the following story:

The disappearance of three seemingly unconnected people from Los Angeles triggers a collective paranoia among a group of twentysomethings, all of whom escaped from a cult ‎several years back.

The freshly secured cast includes Madeline Brewer (pictured above) as escaped cultist Agatha, Nash Grier as Ryder, Daniel Zovatto as Logan, Will Peltz as Mason, Spencer Neville as Garrett, and Todd Maurer as Landon. Ian Nelson and Amanda Cerny (pictured below) will play characters named Parker and Breeda, respectively, current members of the cult who have been sent to bring back the escapees.

Executive produced by Braxton Pope and Ross Levine, The Deleted will be available exclusively through the streaming service Fullscreen later this year.

I don't know if I'll be signing up for Fullscreen (although the service will cost just $4.99 a month), but The Deleted does sound very interesting to me.
