Waaaaayyyy back in 2005, we told y’all about a vampire ditty called HIGH MIDNIGHT, which was to be directed by Mary Lambert (PET SEMETARY). We’ve heard zilch on that front ever since, but today we learn that the bloodsucker has life in it yet…
The ShockTillYouDrop fiends have heard from the film’s producer that HIGH MIDNIGHT is currently casting up, with Vincent D’Onofrio, Elizabeth Hurley, Taylor Nichols and Emilio Rivera all joining the horror-western. The film’s IMDB page confirms all but Hurley, and also lists Ted Raimi, William Baldwin, Thomas Kretschmann among the cast. Lambert is evidently still on board as director.
Here’s the synopsis for the flick: A broken-down sheriff is forced to join forces with an obsessed Victorian vampire hunter to defeat an undead force consuming a small frontier town in 1892 New Mexico.
Hopefully we’ll get some solid intel on the film’s progress soon. In the meanwhile, just feast your eyes on Ms. Hurley…
