It’s been awhile since hearing of any casting news for Barry Sonnenfeld’s three-dimensional MEN IN BLACK sequel. Since learning of funnyman Jemaine Clement’s addition to the cast back in May, we’ve noted that master makeup man Rick Baker had joined the production, as well as showed you a tongue-in-cheek teaser from Big Willy himself. Well now, it appears the lovely Emma Thompson (pictured) will get in on the action!

According to Deadline, Thompson is the latest to join MIB 3D. She’ll play a character called “Oh,” a take-no-shite boss to Smith and Tommy Lee Jones’ characters. Emma also joins cast members Josh Brolin and Rip Torn.

Adapted from Lowell Cunningham’s comic by Etan Cohen, MIB 3D is slated for a May 25th, 2012 release date.

Thompson, the 51 year old Oscar winning actress and writer, has TV movie THE SONG OF LUNCH, HARRY POTTER & THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2 and BRAVE all in various stages of production.

Okay, what do you got on this one? A good choice or does Thompson hardly inspire excitement regarding a third MIB movie?
