Entertainment Weekly reveals 1st look at the cast from Beauty and the Beast

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Bill Condon's live-action take on BEAUTY AND THE BEAST features a ridiculous all-star cast, including the likes of Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Josh Gad as Lefou, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, and Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts, just to name a few. Most of their looks has been hidden from the public eye…until today! EW dropped a first look at the cast, of which you can see below!

The upcoming issue of EW will also dive into film’s new songs penned by Alan Menken and Tim Rice. As you can see from the pictures above, it looks Bill Condon isn't straying too much from the source material. That's probably a good thing for fans of the beloved animated film, although I would've rather seen a somewhat different take. Ah well. I'm sure the end result will be fine, as it's hard to go wrong with that cast!

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will open in theaters on March 17, 2017.
