Escape Room: Tournament of Champions: Logan Miller, Holland Roden interview

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, director Adam Robitel's sequel to his 2019 horror-thriller Escape Room (watch it HERE), has now reached theatres in North America, and to mark the occasion our own Chris Bumbray was able to sit down for a video interview with the film's stars Logan Miller and Holland Roden. You can check the interview out in the embed above. The conversation covers the experience of working on the film, whether or not they've gone to real-life escape rooms, the appeal of the horror genre, and their characters. In the case of Miller, who is reprising the role he played in the first film, he talks about how his character is different this time around.

Scripted by Will Honley, Oren Uziel, Maria Melnik, and Daniel Tuch from a story by Honley, Christine Lavaf, and Fritz Bohm, the film follows

six people who find themselves locked in another series of escape rooms, slowly uncovering what they have in common to survive… and discovering they’ve all played the game before.

Miller and Roden are joined in the cast by Indya Moore, Holland Roden, Isabelle Fuhrman, Carlito Olivero, Thomas Cocquerel, James Frain, and Miller's fellow returning Escape Room star Taylor Russell.

This sequel was produced by Neal H. Moritz. Robitel served as executive producer alongside Karina Rahardja and Philip Waley.

I had zero interest in the first Escape Room when it was coming out, but ended up liking it when I saw it, so I will be watching this one as well. You can find out what our reviewer Eric Walkuski thought about Escape Room: Tournament of Champions over at THIS LINK.

In addition to the Escape Rooms, Robitel previously directed Insidious: The Last Key and The Taking of Deborah Logan. He's currently developing a genre show called The Craving for Netflix.
