Eternals producer says there are plans for Harry Styles’ Starfox

Although Eternals introduced some significant new elements to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the rest of the franchise hasn’t yet picked up the threads the movie left dangling. One of those threads involved the introduction of Eros, aka Starfox, an Eternal and brother of Thanos. Harry Styles played the role in the mid-credits scene of Eternals, but some have wondered if we’re ever going to see Starfox again.

While speaking with Deadline, Eternals producer Nate Moore confirms that there are more stories to be told with Harry Styles as Starfox. “We didn’t cast Harry for a tag, There’s more stories to be told with [Eros],” Moore said. “He’s a complicated character, but a really fun character. And I think, having met Harry Styles, he is as charming as you want him to be. And I think there’s no limit to how good that character’s going to be once we get to bring him back.

Iman Vellani, who plays Ms. Marvel in addition to being a hardcore Marvel fan, was one of those who questioned whether Harry Styles was included just for the sake of it or if Marvel really does have plans for the character. “Ohhh, I feel so weird about it! I don’t know. It’s strange,” Vellani told AP Entertainment. “I wonder, I really wonder if they’re gonna go ahead and do something with the character, or if they just teased it for the sake of it. Because I know Chloe Zhao is a big Harry Styles fan. But then you have all of the Harry Styles fandom in the MCU fandom, how chaotic would that be?

As far as the future of the Eternals goes, it’s still unclear when we’ll see those characters again. Patton Oswalt, who played Pip alongside Harry Styles’ Starfox, claimed that an Eternals sequel was in the works with Chloe Zhao returning to direct. Nothing has been officially confirmed regarding Eternals 2, but even if the sequel doesn’t happen, I have little doubt that we’ll see some of those characters again in future MCU projects.

Would you like to see Harry Styles return as Starfox in an Eternals sequel?
