Moviefone have posted their exclusive new trailer for the upcoming movie EVAN ALMIGHTY, the sequel to BRUCE ALMIGHTY. You can click HERE to check it out. I don’t know how much I’m into this, given I’m a Ricky Gervais purist and don’t like the remaking of THE OFFICE, and therefore Steve Carell by default. But, he did surprise in the outstanding LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, so I guess there’s always the chance he’ll do it again.
The movie is about what happens when God appears to Evan Baxter – now a Congressman – requesting that he build an Ark, not unlike the one that Noah built. Along the way, Evan might just realise that instead of serving his country, he may in fact be serving the whole of humanity. Cue the cheesy inspirational music!
