Evangeline Lilly eyed for leading role in Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man

I’ve been a fan of Evangeline Lilly since her LOST days, and I was super excited when I heard that she got a role in THE HOBBIT franchise. Even better? She kicked tons of ass! Not that I was surprised…

I was a little sad that she wasn’t in more movies after LOST ended, though I think that was a choice that she personally made. The latest news on the actress has her being eyed for the leading female role in Edgar Wright’s ANT-MAN.

According to inside sources, if Lilly is cast she would play the role of Hank Pym’s (Michael Douglas) daughter and Scott Lang’s (Paul Rudd) love interest. This is sort of a flip on the original material in which Lang steals Pym’s Ant-Man suit in order to save his daughter.

We’ve known that Wright would take a few different turns with the story yet we still have so little on what he has instore. If you follow the director on Twitter then you can see that he’s been doing his homework.

Production on the flick begins this April.
