Exclusive: David Spade talks Lights Out, Comedy Central, road rage and more!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Lights Out with David Spade, Comedy Central, David Spade, variety, comedy, television, 2019David Spade has always been one of those guys that just makes me laugh. His dry sense of humor and just plain “don’t give a f*ck” attitude has always appealed to me. Well it seems Comedy Central and Mr. Spade had an idea, and it was one we knew next to nothing about before stepping in to interview this fine gentleman. However, days later, the announcement was finally made. On July 29th, Lights Out with David Spade premieres on the network beginning at 11:30pm ET/PT, Monday through Friday following The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. Frankly, I cannot wait to see what he has in store.

With the premiere more than a month away, it was strangely exciting talking to Mr. Spade about a project that we knew nothing about. While he was able to give us a basic idea of his latest project, he did manage to shine a light on the kind of show he plans to bring audiences. He also discussed not going into politics when it comes to his humor, and keeping the comedy open for all who want to tune in. As well, we talked John Wick, social media bullying and your basic road rage. It was an absolute pleasure talking to Mr. Spade, and frankly, I can’t wait until July 29th! Bring on Lights Off with David Spade!
