I was pretty much shocked when I learned the Sam Jackson/Eva Mendes/Ed Harris thriller CLEANER was headed direct-to-DVD. It’s got an impressive cast, it premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and it’s got an intriguing premise (a crime scene cleaner gets wrapped up in a murder mystery). Did I mention Eva Mendes (NSFW linkage BTW)? But direct-to-DVD doesn’t always mean crap. Variety called it a “tough little noir” with an “absorbing mystery.” CLEANER hits your DVD shelves on Tuesday but we’ve got an exclusive clip today at the DVD Clinic to whet your appetite.
