Exclusive 1:1 Interview: Blackhat Star Chris Hemsworth!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Chris Hemsworth has proven to be a major on-screen force. He continues to own in the role of Thor in the Marvel Universe, as well he gave a terrific performance recently as a daredevil racecar driver in RUSH. And this week, fans will get to see the actor step into Michael Mann territory with the cyber thriller BLACKHAT. In his latest, Hemsworth takes on the role of a furloughed convict – and expert hacker – who must help track down a dangerous hacker with mysterious and deadly plans.

This was my first time sitting down with Mr. Hemsworth, and frankly, I’ve long been a fan. After meeting him officially, I’m an even bigger fan. This guy is pretty darn cool. When we spoke, he discussed the preconceived notion of how a computer hacker is seen. In the film, he offers a strong physical presence, yet one with the intelligence to back it up. We also talked about being able to balance his busy Marvel schedule and still stretching his acting muscles a bit in roles like this. BLACKHAT opens this Thursday at a theatre near you.
