In THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE, the stakes are higher for everyone involved. For both Effie Trinket and Cinna this is especially true as they find themselves getting to care about the tributes, which is a rare thing indeed. Thankfully Elizabeth Banks and Lenny Kravitz return for this sequel to see their characters expand. And in many scenes, Ms. Banks steals the show thanks to her terrific performance.
You can’t sit down with these two actors and not talk about fashion for this particular franchise. Lenny Kravitz is a rock star through and though and he brings much of that charisma to Cinna. Banks is unrecognizable as Effie with the daring and outrageous costumes that she wears. When we talked about her iconic wardrobe she let on that they are so spectacular that they even need special handling. This is one costume that she won’t be bringing home any time soon.
