JoBloJoBlo

Jeremy Renner can do it all. This talented actor has taken on challenging character work in such films as THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD and AMERICAN HUSTLE, as well as his Academy Award nominated work in THE TOWN and THE HURT LOCKER. In his latest KILL THE MESSENGER – which he also shares a producer credit – he portrays real life reporter Gary Webb who uncovered some ugly truths about the CIA and the war on drugs. It is a powerful portrayal from Renner, one that may be remembered come award season.

As a fan of the actor all the way back to his work in DAHMER, and of course THE AVENGERS, he was about nice as you could get. We discussed his latest real life portrait and the kind of research that went into the role. We also talked about some of the perks of being in a blockbuster and how playing Hawkeye has brought him a whole new fan base. It is exciting to see him continue to take on films like KILL THE MESSENGER as well as being a part of the Marvel Universe and other blockbusters. Check out his latest this coming Thursday at a theatre near you.
