Matt Damon plays a man who only has a few days to live in ELYSIUM, the latest sci-fi adventure from director Neill Blomkamp (DISTRICT 9). Sporting a bald head and a spiffy exosuit for much of the film, Damon’s “Max” is something of a final hope for a poor society on the verge of extinction while the 1% of humanity’s wealthiest people live in a cushy space station called “Elysium.”
I sat down with Damon to talk about the project’s various challenges; from that complex exosuit to the ambitious fight sequences to going toe-to-toe with Sharlto Copley, who plays the film’s crazed villain.
