Exclusive: Movie CliffsNotes – Rocky IV

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

This week see's the release of the boxing drama SOUTHPAW, so in the spirit of stepping into the ring again, we jump into the CliffsNotes version of Rocky IV. The Sylvester Stallone classic is both an exercise in excess and stupidity every bit as much as it is absolutely entertaining and rousing. It's a far cry from the original, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's a true product of the '80's and we love it for that alone. Prepare for montages, incoherent speeches, and some superhero style boxing!

Ding! Ding!:

SOUTHPAW hits theaters this Friday and you can see Rocky back on the big screen later this year in CREED, which steps back into the ring on November 25, 2015.
