EXCLUSIVE: New Let Me In TV spot brings the scary!

How fitting: I just got off the horn with Matt Reeves (great man!), who took some time out of his busy Fantastic Fest schedule to chat with me about all things LET ME IN, his astoundingly well-received remake that’s due to hit theaters OCTOBER 1st. While you’ll have to wait until Wednesday to hear the chat for yourself (it will be featured on our new podcast), we’ve got an EXCLUSIVE television spot for you!

Perhaps wisely, the commercial amps up the horror element and makes this look like a bloodbath. Not that the flick isn’t at times, but we all know that there’s more to this tale than just blood and guts. Nevertheless, to get asses in the seats, sometimes you have to cheat a little, and I think it’s not a bad idea to present this as a flick that will scare the wits out of the teens who don’t know better; touting the “touching friendship” angle might not play.

In any case, peep it below and let us know what you think. As I said, the film is getting raves from everyone who sees it, which is really great news for those of us who were (and still are) concerned about the pointlessness in such a remake. I know my interest has risen significantly.
