Originally known as THE NEST and recently re-titled GUARDIANS OF THE TOMB, BAIT director Kimble Rendall's "nature run amok" spider movie is now set to be released by Gravitas Ventures under the more specific title 7 GUARDIANS OF THE TOMB.

The biggest Chinese-Australian co-production to date, 7 GUARDIANS OF THE TOMB is about what happens when "an innocent discovery of a well-preserved mummified Emperor from 200 BC China unearths a 2000-year-old nightmare – a secret that should have remained buried."

Starring Kelsey Grammer, Kellan Lutz, and Li Bingbing, the film has the following synopsis:

As a team of scientists who lose a colleague in an ancient labyrinth, the motley crew must work together to recover him while trying to make the discovery of a century. In their quest they find themselves underground, battling ancient, terrifying Chinese magic and making their way through a swarm of deadly, man-eating spiders – only to uncover the secret behind the insects’ power and intelligence.

Rendall wrote the screenplay with Paul Staheli.

7 GUARDIANS OF THE TOMB will be receiving a theatrical and VOD / Digital HD release on February 23rd. In anticipation of this release, we have the EXCLUSIVE unveiling of the film's poster, which features the three leads and a bunch of spiders.
