Not only is this the first time hearing of Mike Klassen’s upcoming horror film ABOLITION, which means we have an official synopsis for you – but would ya believe Klassen himself was kind enough to drop off an exclusive teaser-poster for the film. Cool f*ckin’ guy, ay?!?
Co-written with Klassen by Chantelle Kadyschuk and Chris Lawson – ABOLITION draws from horror and specifically, the supernatural side of the genre. The film is filled with vibrant, real characters and has a strong dramatic element. It asks the question: What if your next door neighbor was the end of the world? The journey we go on is with Joshua, a down and out janitor, and we follow him through his discovery and acceptance of this task. Director, Mike Klassen says “My hope is that if Taxi Driver and The Exorcist had a baby, that baby would be Abolition.”
Caroline Williams, Reggie Bannister, Elissa Dowling (below) and Andrew Roth all star in the picture, which looks to wrap filming by next May for a subsequent summer release (both stateside and in Canada). SKG Films is producing.
