I won’t mince words here, this is a big one: an exclusive brought to me and my Arrow in the Head Podcast co-host Ammon Gilbert straight from the mouth of our latest special guest, Thomas Jane. We recently talked to Mr. Jane to help celebrate out 100th podcast show, and in the midst of chatting about his upcoming projects the man dropped the following bomb: He’s just joined Sylvester Stallone in Walter Hill’s HEADSHOT! How utterly brilliant does that sound?!

According to Jane, the deal is in place and the “script is fantastic” – although Hill is currently rewriting the piece, which was originally penned by Alessandro Camon (THE MESSENGER). UPDATE: Alessandro Camon’s rep e-mailed us with this: Walter Hill has indeed come aboard the project to direct, which is terrific and it is all going great. However, Mr. Hill is not rewriting. Alessandro continues to write on the project, working closely with the director.

In the film, Stallone will star as a New Orleans hitman who teams with an NYPD detective (Jane), as they are brought together by two vicious murders. The two proceed to take on all who stand in their way.

Jane said the following: “He’s a hitman, I’m a cop, and we’re just opposite in every f*cking way, and we need each other to get this job done. And of course I’m like, ‘As soon as this job’s over, I’m going to take you to jail, you know, you’re a killer.'”

Jane had a lot of other great things to say about the film, which will begin shooting in New Orleans this year. He also spoke enthusiastically about his comic book company RAW Studios and the new Miley Cyrus movie he’s starring in (seriously), but to hear all of that you’ll have to tune into the Arrow in the Head Podcast, which hits on Wednesday…
