KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS follows a young boy who must locate a magical suit of armor worn by his late father in order to defeat a vengeful spirit from the past. With his protectors Monkey and Beetle by his side, Kubo unlocks more of his powers at every challenge, racing toward an epic clash with the dark side of his magical family. His quest stretches far and wide through the mystical realm of the Vastlands and now you can explore the lands with this interactive map!
There's been some good movies to hit this summer and there's been A LOT of bad movies to hit this summer, but I'd argue we're in dire need of a classic adventure story. Hopefully that need will be fulfilled by LAIKA's KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS. It's easily one of the better-looking pictures to hit this year and represents an original story, as opposed to an adaptation or reboot. Our set-visit yielded some fantastic results (check it out HERE) so I'm hoping the finished product will deliver!
