Extended clip unleashed for sci-fi thriller Life starring Ryan Reynolds

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

LIFE is thankfully not an adaptation of the shitty board game with the same name, nor a remake of the Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence prison dramedy. Instead, it's a sci-fi thriller about a microorganism from Mars that kills people one-by-one. Hmmm…kind of a step down from a Xenomorph, don't you think? Anyway it stars Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal and is coming out soon, so the studio has just released an extended clip. Let's take a look:

So, wait…it seems the black guy dies first? Sigh.

Other than that, the whole film looks a little…generic? I mean, I like that it's set close to present day, which makes the horror probably a bit more relatable than if it had been set in the distant future like most sci-fi horror is. Also, while not as flashy as a Xenomorph or a Thing, a tiny microbe is also more relatable as what we would consider a real alien life form to look like. So that's a plus, I guess. Other than that, it's not really doing it for me.

But what do you Schmoes think? You down for LIFE? Sound off below!

Either way, LIFE will be born in theaters March 24th, 2017.
