F. Javier Gutierrez's RINGS began filming in Atlanta last week and now Deadline is reporting that SCREAM 4 actress Aimee Teegarden has joined Matilda Lutz and Alex Roe for the third installment in Paramount's horror franchise about a cursed video tape that unleashes a demonic horror which kills the unwitting viewer within seven days.
Gutiérrez is working from a script by David Loucka, Jacob Aaron Estes, and Akiva Goldsman.
Originally rumored to be a prequel to the 2002 remake of THE RING, RINGS is actually a years-later sequel said to be set 13 years after the first film. It is scheduled to hit theaters on November 13, 2015.
THE 5TH WAVE's Alex Roe recently nabbed the male lead in the film, starring opposite Italian actress Matilda Lutz. He will be playing Holt, who is the boyfriend to Lutz’s character and becomes distant from her after watching the tape.
