False Positive: Hulu acquires A24’s Ilana Glazer, Pierce Brosnan horror film

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Hulu has picked up the distribution rights to the A24 production False Positive, a horror film that has quite an impressive cast. Comedian Ilana Glazer takes the lead and is joined by Justin Theroux, Pierce Brosnan, Gretchen Mol, Sophia Bush, and Josh Hamilton.

Glazer wrote the screenplay with director John Lee, crafting a story that follows

Lucy (Glazer) and Adrian (Theroux) who, after several attempts of trying and failing to get pregnant, finally find their dream fertility doctor in the illustrious Dr. Hindle (Brosnan). But after becoming pregnant with a healthy baby girl, Lucy begins to notice something sinister through Hindle's gleaming charm.

Glazer and Lee also produced the film with Jonathan Wang. When False Positive was first announced, it was described as "a contemporary take on Rosemary's Baby".

Hulu hasn't announced a release date for False Positive, only that the movie will be available to watch on the streaming service sometime in 2021.

Coming to us from a star who's known for comedy and featuring a former James Bond as the villain, this is an out-of-left-field horror project and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it turned out.
