Just yesterday came a press release announcing all of the winners from this year’s Fantastic Fest. One of those flicks was the Mexican cannibal drama WE ARE WHAT WE ARE, which grabbed Best Picture and Best Screenplay in the “Next Wave” competition. IFC has already picked up the film for domestic distribution (they actually acquired it way back in May), so now we’re just waiting for a release date. However, the folks across the pond will get a chance to see it rather soon. Blimey!
According to Empire Online, the film hits the UK on NOVEMBER 12th. They’ve also debuted a new trailer for the pic, which you can watch below. No dialogue, naturally, but creepy music and freaky visuals do the trick in a big way. Can’t wait to see this one. (Let’s make it happen before a remake is announced, cool?)
