Fargo season 4 premieres Sept 27th!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

After a long delay due to COVID-19, the fourth season of “Fargo” has finally set a premiere date, with the first two episodes of the season (directed by series mastermind Noah Hawley) dropping September 27th on FX! Originally set for an April 2020 debut, the show had to delay due to the fact that the season hadn’t finished filming before the Coronavirus lockdown, although according to Deadline, production on the last remaining episodes starts towards the end of the month, putting the show back on track.

The fourth season stars Chris Rock, Jason SchwartzmanBen Whishaw, Jessie Buckley, Jack Huston, and Timothy Olyphant among others. According to the detailed description posted on Deadline:

In 1950 Kansas City, two criminal syndicates fighting for a piece of the American dream have struck an uneasy peace. Together, they control an alternate economy of exploitation, graft and drugs. To cement their truce, Loy Cannon (Chris Rock), the head of the African American crime family, trades his youngest son Satchel (Rodney Jones), to his enemy Donatello Fadda (Tommaso Ragno), the head of the Italian mafia. In return, Donatello surrenders his youngest son Zero (Jameson Braccioforte) to Loy. When Donatello dies in the hospital following a routine surgery, the tenuous truce is threatened…

Sounds pretty awesome, and like a nice change of pace role for Rock. All three seasons of Hawley’s “Fargo” have been top shelf, so psyched to dig into this when it premieres on FX next month!
