Final Destination 5 gets first confirmed actor

Comedian Miles Fisher has been cast in FINAL DESTINATION 5… or 5NAL DESTINATION if you want to be idiotic about it. The actor is apparently well liked for his appearance in a short film called PINKBERRY: THE MOVIE. Fisher is also known for his celebrity impersonations, nailing Tom Cruise (no pun intended) in a video I’ve embedded below (as well as Christian Bale, pictured). He’s evidently one of these Youtube phenoms, and now he’s making his segway into feature film work with the fourth sequel of the undying franchise.

Not much is currently known about the new FD, other than a suspension bridge supposedly comes into play, which does sound promising, but we’ll see. This series is pretty unreliable, so let’s not get our hopes up.

Steven Quale is directing FINAL DESTINATION 5 from a script by Eric Heisserer (THE THING prequel). It has an AUGUST 26th, 2011 release date, and if they’re preparing to shoot now, maybe they can start thinking about all the ways it should be better than the last film, which is so dreadful it hardly deserves mentioning.

Krista Allen was one of the only good things about THE FINAL DESTINATION
