The only thing scarier about movies revolving
around crazy cults is the fact that crazy cults actually exist and this movie
may not be far off from the truth.

The first still from the film BELIEVER is
being hosted on their official MySpace page here
and can also be seen above. And after seeing these creepy kids,
(especially the one in the bottom left corner) and hearing what the film’s all
about, my interest is definitely peeked.

BELIEVER is about a
couple of paramedics who respond to a call about a women and her young daughter.
When they find them, the mother is unconcious and the daughter speaks about how
they are on the run from a cult known as The Quanta Group. The pair doesn’t
believe her until a couple of guys sporting strange tattoos force them all into
an unmarked van and head back to their compound to meet with The Teacher.

In all seriousness this is really f**ked subject
matter because there are cults out there where people can’t leave, or they die.
Which means that this movie will probably be pretty cool and somewhat
believable. The film is being directed by Daniel Myrick, the man behind the
camera for
THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT
, and even if it’s
one-tenth as cool as that I’m sure it will be a sweet watch!
