Comingsoon.net has snagged themselves a first look at the first poster for the upcoming Rod Lurie directed boxing drama RESURRECTING THE CHAMP. In it, Josh Hartnett stars as a reporter who stumbles onto a homeless Sam Jackson and discovers he’s a boxing legend long presumed to be dead. Having bonded with this clearly not dead former boxing champ, Hartnett goes about resurrecting him. Metaphorically speaking, of course. As in, resurrecting his life and career. So, really, the film should be called REHABILITATING THE CHAMP. Pointless semantics aside, check out the poster in all its extremely orange high res glory over HERE. The film is set for release August 24th.
