The original OCEAN’S trilogy with the likes of George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon made more money than a set of heist comedies likely should have, but now it’s time for them to retire and let the ladies take things from here. Starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling and more, OCEAN’S EIGHT features a whole new crew taking on a whole new job and we now have the first footage ahead of tomorrow’s trailer. I won't spoil the footage, but let's just say there may be a lot of sleuthing and sneaking going on. Oh, I've said too much! Never give away the con, Matt! You know better!
Directed by Gary Ross the movie also stars Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Awkwafina, Helena Bonham Carter and Sarah Paulson, with Bullock playing Debbie Ocean, Danny Ocean's (Clooney) estranged sister. Together these grifters and con-artists are plotting to rob the Met Gala for…valuable stuff, I assume. We don't get much from the tease but tomorrow's trailer will surely have more context and detail, which I'm excited to see. I like the original movies, so I'm interested to see what some fresh blood does for the series.
