Well, nothing like a quick confirmation!
Just yesterday I wrote about Darren Aronofsky’s BLACK SWAN potentially opening the Venice Film Festival. In no time flat it has been confirmed by the festival peeps themselves: the supernatural thriller will premiere on SEPTEMBER 1st. Stars Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Winona Ryder, Vincent Cassel, and Barbara Hershey are all expected to attend – meaning we should get some sweet red carpet pics right around then! (Keep your eyes peeled, MovieHotties!)
Also in a case of true serendipity, the first official stills from the flick have been released, via an article in USA Today (notice how Mila is being a bad girl and eating a burger!). Naturally, talk of the sexy lesbian scene between the two hotties came up; Kunis said: “Anything sexual in this film is not there for the sake of being sexual. I think people are hoping it’s like two girls making out and pillow fighting. It’s not smut.”
Yeah, you tell ’em Mila. Anyone looking for cheap thrills just better find them elsewhere. This is serious-movie making out, so if you find it arousing, it’d be like getting a boner while looking at the Mona Lisa… And uh… Huh, I lost my train of thought.
BLACK SWAN focuses on a veteran ballerina (Portman) who finds herself locked in a competitive situation with a rival dancer (Kunis), with the stakes and twists increasing as the dancers approach a big performance. But it’s unclear whether the rival is a supernatural apparition or if the protagonist is simply having delusions.
