First shots of Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo?

So the images above popped up on a website called The Movie Insider, and they’re what seem to be incomplete 3D renders of Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo from the upcoming live-action/CG-animated YOGI BEAR movie (at least I hope they are).

But I’m sorry, incomplete or not, they’re butt-ugly and creepy looking. They appeared late yesterday on /Film, and I was kind of on the fence as to whether or not they were an April Fool’s Day gag. I kinda doubt it, though.

The film stars Dan Aykroyd as the voice of Yogi and Justin Timberlake as the voice of Boo-Boo. Leading the humans is Anna Faris as Rachel, a nature documentarian who’s… documenting at the famed but troubled Jellystone Park. She’s joined by Jon Stewart doppelganger Tom Cavanagh (“Ed”) as Ranger Smith and Andy Daly (“The Life and Times of Tim”, “Eastbound & Down”) as Mayor Brown.

YOGI BEAR, from director Eric Brevig (JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH, “Xena: Warrior Princess”) and writer Brad Copeland (WILD HOGS, “Arrested Development”), is due out Dec 17th.
