Taking a test in school isn't exactly the greatest experience in the world, no matter how prepared you think you are, there's always something which throws you off and makes you doubt what you know, but at least we're not killed if we fail it. In the world of THE THINNING, YouTube and Legendary Digital's upcoming feature-length action-packed thriller, that's exactly what happens. Taking place in a dying world where the population is dictated by an aptitude test taken in high school, THE THINNING features Vine star Logan Paul and Disney star Peyton List as two students who discover that "the test is all smoke and mirrors hiding a larger conspiracy, they must go against the system to expose it and take it down."
It's been interesting to chart the rapid expansion of streaming services over the past few years, especially as many of them have been following the Netflix model of producing their own original series and movies. While it's not always feasible (or desirable) to subscribe to all these services, it's definitely giving up and coming talent more options when it comes to getting their work out to as many people as possible. THE THINNING will premiere on YouTube Red, YouTube's own paid streaming subscription service, on October 12th.
