Forster Wages War

JoBloJoBlo

Mark Forster’s genre-hopping tendencies continue, as the cinematic chameleon is set to direct his first zombie feature. Having just hopped off the set of some spy thriller that’s being released today, Forster has signed on to direct WORLD WAR Z, about a planet ravaged by that brain-eating miscreant. Based on the best-selling novel by Mel Brooks’ boy Max Brooks, the film will follow a researcher for the U.N. Postwar Commission as he interviews survivors from countries all over the world, 10 years after a zombie-related crisis, to gather a first-person post-mortem on a war that destroyed every country on the map. Sounds grim.

The film is being produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B and will be written by THE CHANGELING scribe J Michael Straczynski. Now all Forster needs to do is a silent German expressionist film and a snuff film and I think he’s done it all.
