THR is reporting that SAW sequel scribes, Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan are writing a supernatural action flick by the name of OUTLIERS and 20th Century Fox has just acquired their pitch for the flick with Peter Chernin set to produce.

Melton and Dunstan are best known for penning SAW IV, V, VI and VII, have become a hot commodity among the studios, landing such high-profile gigs as God of War, which Universal Pictures is moving quickly on, and RISE for Warner Bros. as well as a two-month rewrite job on PACIFIC RIM on set with Guillermo del Toro.

Since the news is still nice and fresh, all the good stuff is being kept tightly wrapped up. What we do know is that the idea for OUTLIERS, which is dubbed as a supernatural action film, stemmed from an idea by David Karlak who is currently attached to direct. These guys certainly know their way around the horror genre so it'll be interesting to see where this supernatural flick ends up, and we'll be sure to keep you guys updated every step of the way.
