I recently wrote an article about Carl Franklin (DEVIL IN A BLUE DRESS) directing a gigolo movie called THE MAINTENANCE MAN. But now comes word that he’s set to direct a movie called SNITCH, based on a PBS ‘Frontline’ documentary, about “a devoted father whose son faces 30 years in prison after being set up in a drug deal. The father goes undercover in the drug world to make a bust that will free his son.” I love shit like this. I have no idea why two new Franklin movies have been announced within the same week, but both sound great. It’ll be interesting to see which one he choses to do first.
