I feel like we’ve seen about 80 different trailers for THE HORDE thus far. The French zombie flick has been a long time coming, and that has provided ample opportunity for lots of different previews for it. However, now we’ve got the one IFC made for its Video OnDemand release of the film. Like a dope, I still haven’t checked it out. But I plan on doing so real soon.

While the flick still looks cool, I sincerely hope it’s not dubbed for the US like it is in the trailer. Dubbing sucks in general, and it seems pretty putrid in this case.

A posse of crooked cops, malevolent gangsters and a horde of walking dead are the centre point of this gruesome, tight, action packed, claustrophobic tale of retribution and escape. Penned like animals, on the top floor of a deserted high-rise block, these two opposing gangs find that they are not alone in the lair of bloodthirsty corridors of death. Joining forces to survive, they must reach ground level together or perish. Loaded with a bad ass attitude, guns, axes and extremely creative hand-to-hand combat sequences that project the fears and paranoia that are the fighting forces behind the need to survive, when caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

THE HORDE, which was directed by Yannick Dahan and Benjamin Rocher and produced by Xavier Gens, is available OnDemand right now, via Comcast, Cox, Cablevision, Time Warner, and Bright House.
