Futuristic armor makes an appearance in latest Terminator: Genesis set image

Another set image from Alan Taylor's TERMINATOR: GENESIS has landed online, this time giving us a decent look at the futuristic armor appearing in the upcoming movie. Last month a couple of set videos were leaked (and then later removed), and it looked like a future war scene was being filmed. With this latest leaked image, it's pretty much a given now there will be at least some future battles in TERMINATOR: GENESIS.

The armor looks similar to what a few of the soldiers were wearing in the future war scene from TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY, which isn't too surprising since we know the new film will likely revisit events from the first two TERMINATOR flicks. I'm wondering if Alan Taylor and company are going to try pull an X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST with TERMINATOR: GENESIS, meaning they'll use time travel to try to "fix" what happened in the last two movies, or at least TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES. Anything is possible with time travel, and it sounds like there's going to be quite a bit of that in TERMINATOR: GENESIS.

TERMINATOR: GENESIS will be in theaters on July 1, 2015.
