Gal Gadot is a worldwide presence thanks to her role as Wonder Woman but the actress was almost ready to call it quits with the profession before landing the life-changing role. In a recent post on her Instagram, Gadot details how she almost working away from acting before director Zack Snyder cast her as Wonder Woman in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

In the Instagram post, Gadot expressed her gratitude to Snyder for giving her the role of a lifetime. Gadot's career was in a much different place in December of 2013 when she was cast as Diana of Themyscira. The actress had appeared in the previous three Fast & Furious films up to that point but her character Gisele was a supporting player and she made her final appearance in the sixth film which was released in the summer of 2013. Gadot had also recently given birth to a daughter so there were a lot of factors as to why she wanted to quit but her drive to get the role of Wonder Woman is the primary reason she landed the part. The rest is, as they say, is history! I'm not a big fan of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice but Gadot stood out in that film as one of the more positive aspects of the movie. This potential was fully realized when Gadot got to lead her own DC film in 2017's Wonder Woman which earned the DCEU the best reviews they had seen up to that point and the movie was a huge hit at the box office. That Zack Snyder camera test has now led to Gadot being an in-demand actress who has a slew of projects on deck. I guess that's proof that you should never give up on dreams because your moment can happen when you least expect it.

What do YOU think of Gal Gadot's journey from Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice until now?
