Game of Thrones season 8 episode lengths reportedly go beyond the wall

Sharpen your swords, light the pyres, and hold the door, because a French TV network collective by the name of Première has reportedly leaked the episode lengths for all six episodes belonging to the final season of HBO's GAME OF THRONES. According to the messenger raven that just landed on my window sill, Première leaked the "to be taken with a grain of salt" information via their Twitter account, after attending a presentation organized by Orange Cinema Series, a French group of dedicated movies/series TV channels.

You can see Première's tweet below:

For those of you who aren't fluent in French, or can't be bothered to click the 'Translate' button, Première suggests that the first two episodes of GAME OF THRONES season 8 will be 60 minutes each, with the final four episodes clocking in at 80 minutes a piece. Here's the thing though, none of this has been confirmed by HBO, so it's best to exercise a bit of caution when accepting this report as iron clad. Typically, GAME OF THRONES episode lengths average out at 60 minutes a pop, with producers needing to get special permissions to exceed that length, on account of longer episodes inevitably mucking with the networks schedule overall.

Are you ready for possibly 440 minutes worth of GAME OF THRONES to serve as the series' grand finale? Who will live? Who will die? Do you think all of the Stark children will survive? Will Arya finally complete her list? Will Bran stop being such a nosy buzzkill? We'll find out when GAME OF THRONES returns to HBO on April 14, 2019.
