Gaspar Noe’s nightmarish Enter the Void hits DVD in late January

I did not get a chance to partake in Gaspar Noe’s ENTER THE VOID when it came out in the fall, but I’ll get a chance to correct that next month, when the flick hits DVD on the 25th.

The special features included:

Deleted scenes
Teasers
Trailers
US trailer
Unused trailers
VFX
Vortex
DMT
Posters

An interesting side story: Criterion originally looked to be in line to distribute this film (thanks to a pact with IFC, which owns domestic distribution rights to ENTER THE VOID), but they evidently turned it down. No reason why. They released ARMAGEDDON for f*cks sake, so I would think anything is fair game…

The official synopsis for ENTER THE VOID: Oscar and his sister Linda, recent arrivals in Tokyo. Oscar’s a small time drug dealer, and Linda works as a nightclub stripper. One night, Oscar is caught up in a police bust and shot. As he lies dying, his spirit, faithful to the promise he made his sister that he would never abandon her refuses to abandon the world of the living. It wanders through the city, his visions growing evermore distorted, evermore nightmarish. Past, present and future merge in a hallucinatory maelstrom.
