George stages a breakout in new clip from Dwayne Johnson’s Rampage

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Dwayne Johnson's movies may not always find themselves gathering up prestigious awards, but they're always a hell of a lot of fun, and the upcoming RAMPAGE looks to be no different. Based upon the 80's arcade-game of the same name, RAMPAGE will follow Davis Okoye (Dwayne Johnson) and a discredited genetic engineer (Naomie Harris) as they team up in order to secure an antidote and bring a halt to a global catastrophe when a trio of giant genetically altered alpha predators run amok and begin destroying everything in their path. One of those newly giant creatures is George, an albino gorilla who Okoye has taken care of since he was an infant. A new clip from RAMPAGE finds George trapped in a cage, but the ever-growing gorilla won't remain there for long.

Be sure to check out our set-visit interviews with Dwayne Johnson, as well as Naomie Harris and Brad Peyton, and producers John Rickard and Hiram Garcia.  Also, get up to speed with Everything You Need to Know about Rampage.

The official synopsis for RAMPAGE:

Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry transforms this gentle ape into a raging monster. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered alpha predators. As these newly created monsters tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.

RAMPAGE will hit theaters on April 13, 2018.
