Get a first look at the elegant horror behind NBC’s Hannibal with this new featurette

It’s hard to not be excited by NBC’s upcoming series “Hannibal”. Everything we’ve seen so far from the show has looked much better than we could have ever expected, especially considering the network it will air on has never been one to ‘push the envelope’ in terms of violence. The producers seem dead-set on delivering exactly what genre fans want with “Hannibal” and today we have a look at the inner-workings of the show in which the cast and Executive Producer Bryan Fuller dish out the goods. HANNIBAL focuses on the fledgling relationship between FBI agent Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen), his mentor. Will Graham is a gifted criminal profiler who is on the hunt for a serial killer with the FBI. Graham’s unique way of thinking gives him the astonishing ability to empathize with anyone – even psychopaths. He seems to know what makes them tick. But when the mind of the twisted killer he’s pursuing is too complicated for even Will to comprehend, he enlists the help of Dr. Lecter, one of the premier psychiatric minds in the country. Armed with the uncanny expertise of the brilliant doctor, Will and Hannibal (known as a serial killer only to the audience) form a brilliant partnership, and it seems there’s no villain they can’t catch. Other key cast members include Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix), Lance Henriksen (Near Dark, everything else), Gillian Anderson (“X-Files”), Gina Torres (“Firefly”), “Wonderfalls”’ Caroline Dhavernas and Ellen Muth (Dead Like Me).

“Hannibal” serves up some gory good times April 4 on NBC.
