Our brothers in arms over at JoBlo.com have just slapped up our first look at the omnipresent James Franco in RISE OF THE APES; no, nothing very exciting, just Jimmy Boy peering at a computer with intent. Maybe he’s just found out there’s some monkey business going down with his subject, Caesar (Andy Serkis)?
Well, if he’s not finding that out now, he will soon enough!

Set in present day San Francisco, the film is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.

The sci-fi prequel from 20th Century Fox also stars Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Tom Felton and Freida Pinto. Directed by Rupert Wyatt from a script by Rick Jaffa, Jamie Moss, Amanda Silver, it hits theaters over the Thanksgiving holiday.
