While everyone waits patiently (right?) for the debut of the first GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY trailer tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the powers that be have decided to further entice you to tune in by dropping a coveted teaser for the trailer. Yeah, yeah, I know how much you loathe when they do that, yet here we are. I’m kind of over it at this point. You want to show me 20 seconds? No problem. Let’s see it.

In the far reaches of space, an American pilot named Peter Quill finds himself the object of a manhunt after stealing an orb coveted by the villainous Ronan.
Personally, I’m really looking forward to seeing this (the trailer AND the film). The Comic Con trailer was exceptional and it looks like they’ll be sticking to a similar mold here, which is good news. GUARDIANS has a bang-up cast, an inspired director, and breathes a little new life into the franchise universe. While the staple characters are great, it’s nice to introduce some new blood, which we’ll be seeing a lot of in 2015 when THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, ANT-MAN, and most likely DR. STRANGE enter the picture.
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Benicio Del Toro, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Djimon Hounsou, and John C. Reilly hits theaters on August 1, 2014. Tune in later tonight for the FULL trailer.
