G’house trailer news

JoBloJoBlo

I don’t think anyone doubted that some great talent would be attracted to the idea of putting together one of the fake trailers to be featured in GRINDHOUSE and sure enough the roster of directors participating is shaping up right proper. Last month it was revealed that Eli Roth, in addition to having a cameo in Tarantino’s “Death Proof,” would direct a trailer for “Thanksgiving”, and that Rob Zombie wouid do one called “Werewolf Women of the S.S.” starring Nicolas Cage as a Dr. Fu Manchu. That’s truly the kind of stuff that ends wars. You can find more information about those two trailers through the Arrow boys HERE and HERE, respectively.

Now though, Fangoria brings us news on the latest to join the trailer-makin’ fun and that person is none other than HOT FUZZ and SHAUN OF THE DEAD director Edgar Wright. Any sort of detail as to what his trailer may be remains undisclosed at the moment but it’s safe to say it’s going to be good stuff no matter what it is. Who knows if any more fake trailer directors will be announced in the future but, if so, we’re probably all thinking the same thing: Nancy Meyers. GRINDHOUSE hits theaters April 6th and HOT FUZZ opens April 16th.
